Home health care is health care provided by nurses, therapists and caregivers at a patient’s home. Home health care may be appropriate for a patient who has a new health care diagnosis that calls for a change in daily lifestyle, or a patient who has experienced an illness, surgery or hospitalization which requires healing and recovery at home or in an assisted living or respite facility.
